2022
- Gave outreach talks for the Austin History Center to the staff of KUT radio, and to the Bee Cave Public Library’s “What’s New Wednesday” group
- Coordinated repository tables, edited the website, and arranged for some publicity for the 2022 Austin Archives Bazaar – coming on April 24th, 12-4pm at the ABGB!
- Continued serving the public at the Austin History Center, serving as President of the board of the Archivists of Central Texas.
- Planning to attend the 50th Society of Southwest Archivists annual meeting in Houston in May, and helping create a collaborative quilt for the silent auction benefitting the scholarships fund.
- Organizing the 6th annual Lone Star Zine Fest – coming in Fall 2022!
- Made a triumphant return to fandom during SXSWeek in March!
2021
- Held the fifth annual Lone Star Zine Fest (virtual version) on March 7th.
- Continued serving the public at the Austin History Center, serving as President of the board of the Archivists of Central Texas.
- Presented at the Society of Southwest Archivists annual meeting in May.
- Went on another looooong camping trip across the Western US with family.
2020
- Began serving as Reference Archivist at the Austin History Center just before the COVID-19 pandemic shut the world down. It has been both challenging and rewarding so far!
- Pulled off the biggest and best Lone Star Zine Fest yet on March 1st!
- Participated in virtual versions of International Zine Libraries Day and the Zine Librarians unConference.
2019
- Attended Digital Frontiers 2019 at the University of Texas at Austin.
- Organized the 3rd annual Lone Star Zine Fest and began planning for the next one.
- Traveled to Poland and Lithuania!
- Presented zine workshops at various Austin Public Library branches.
- Recruited tablers for and facilitated a zine-making workshop at the Dougherty Arts Center’s Date Night at the DAC: Zine Meet.
- Unveiled Town Talk Library‘s new home at MonkeyWrench Books and kicked off the monthly Austin Zine Friends meetup.
- Attended the Society of Southwest Archivists annual meeting in Tucson on behalf of FromThePage, and organized the 4th Quilt Bee fundraiser.
- Serving on the board of the Archivists of Central Texas.
- Co-chaired the Host Committee for the Society of American Archivists annual meeting in Austin.
2018
- Helped organize & attended the Breaking Library Silos for Social Justice workshop.
- Organized the 3rd Society of Southwest Archivists Scholarships Quilt Bee fundraiser.
- Took time off to see friends and enjoy music during South By Southwest.
- Zines in Libraries & Archives talk and zine workshop with the UT iSchool’s ALA/TLA student chapter.
- Attended the Society of Southwest Archivists annual meeting in San Antonio & hosted an Alliance for Local Music Archives lunchtime meetup.
- Attended the Zine Librarians (un)Conference in Minneapolis & visited family in St. Paul.
- Went on a 10-day camping trip across the Western US with family.

2017
- Worked with two UT School of Information Capstone students: Elyse Chevalier worked on issues around cataloging for Town Talk Library‘s contemporary zine collection, and Laura Rivoir developed transcription guidelines for the Austin Fanzine Project.
- Wrapped up my work at UT Libraries.
- Started working on the Austin City Limits Archive Project at KLRU-TV.
- Moderated “I Remember That Band”: Preserving Local Music at South By Southwest.
- Presented Outreach: Why & How to Dr. Trace’s Archival Enterprise II class at UT’s iSchool.
- Attended the Society of Southwest Archivists annual meeting.
- Helped organize the first Lone Star Zine Fest.
- Attended the Society of American Archivists annual meeting & facilitated an Alliance for Local Music Archives meetup.
- Did a weeklong residency at the Queer Zine Archive Project.
- Went on a solo road trip to Southern Illinois to see the total solar eclipse.
- Coordinated the creation of the first Texas Archives War zine and organized a guerrilla outreach event with archivists handing out zines to passersby at the Angelina Eberly Statue in downtown Austin on the 175th anniversary of the (second) Texas Archives War of 1842.
2016
- Worked with UT School of Information student, Melissa Roberts, on her Capstone project evaluating possible platforms for the Portal to Austin Music History, and with Kristin Sullivan, who developed the user experience aspects of a web interface to support crowd-contributed descriptive information about archival collections.
- Conducted a staff share project at UT’s Fine Arts Library focusing on archives and the zine collection, including programming, collection building, and archival management.
- Helped organize THATcamp Digital Pedagogy at UT Libraries.
- Attended the Modern Language Association convention.
- Presented a classroom instruction session introducing Lee Chesney’s undergraduate students to the world of zines.
- Took time off to see music during South By Southwest.
- Co-presented an overview of the national effort to build a Zine Union Catalog at DPLA Fest.
- Moderated Getting it Together After a Disaster: the Road to Recovery at the Society of Southwest Archivists annual meeting.
- Attended the Texas Conference on Digital Libraries and co-chaired the Texas Digital Humanities Consortium Mini-Conference.
- Helped wrap up the TARO to the 21st Century planning grant.
